The Year in Cell Phone Pictures Posted on December 18, 2012December 18, 2012 by Kylee Peña It’s been a great year, and I thought I’d be clever (what with all the uproar and all) and sum up 2012 with Instagram pictures. January – Finished Love Dance, Leah Not Leia’s BTS, and He Who Watches Got my first tattoo – a film reel. The Super Bowl was held in Indy, which was some of the craziest stuff I’ve ever seen. Discovered my happy place food – pho ga. Theater screening with a hundred and something people watching films I edited or helped on. February – Did a lot of freelance. April – NAB Show Had the best and weirdest time in Vegas. Met a lot of people. May – Loads and loads of corporate video. Went to Dallas for work, ended up at a Rangers game. June – Had a really nice summer. Watched a planet pass in front of a star. June – Went to Editfest in NY Met a lot more people. Fulfilled a tea-related life goal. Celebrated 3 years with my husband. July – Embraced local business. Supervised visual effects on Ingenue. During a massive heat wave. Went to Chicago with a great group of girls. August – Saw two of my closest friends get married. Perfected my pie lattice. Won no awards, but placed 2nd in photography. Finished my first Warrior Dash. Started work on The Impersonators, my first feature. Spent a lot of time drinking Patachou coffee. September – 15,000 views in a few days for the first Impersonators teaser. October – Shot my first wedding as a still photographer. November – Learned to like IPAs Learned to take time away for tacos. December – Completed a title sequence for Ingenue. Finally saw The Hobbit at midnight. Cut a quick short film. IMDB official as the editor on my next feature, The Ballad of Sadie Grace. Met a lot of great people, saw a lot of movies, and made a lot of stuff. Not bad.
