A short film I served as a production assistant on last summer, “Leah not Leia”, will be premiering at the Hamilton 16 IMAX on Friday July 1st! The festivities start just before midnight on Friday evening, starting with some short films and trailers from other local filmmakers, including one I co-edited and production managed for last year’s 48 Hour Film Project (Cooper O’Brien and the Magical Moustache). This will probably be the last screening of Magical Moustache, as the next 48 Hour Film Project is at the end of July.
If you’re interested in seeing Leah not Leia or attending a screening of local films in the Indianapolis community, you can RSVP on the Facebook event. Tickets are $9.50 at the door. I’ll be there shooting some video for posterity.
EDIT: Here’s a story about it in the Indy Star. The film will also be showing at the InConjunction scifi festival this weekend, and GenCon in August.
